Description
There is nothing ordinary about this beach front property. First because it is designed like a ship about to set sail into the blue Mediterranean. Second because it is ideally located in the heart of the village of L’Ampolla, just a short stroll along the maritime boardwalk to the cafes, restaurants and shops. And thirdly because it has been built with love, with style and with the finest materials. Thus it is a fusion of luxury combined with the smells and sounds of the Mediterranean, a uniquely comfortable holiday home that offers no less than 7 bedrooms that all have independent air-conditioning, five of which lead onto the the second floor terrace with views of the sea. The master bedroom has a separate vestuary and wardrobe area, a large ensuite bathroom and a kingsize bed. It has separate access to a private terrace with designated patio furniture. There are five other bedrooms on this upper level, four of which enjoy access to the terrace with suites of furniture. These bedrooms share a large and luxurious bathroom. There is a seventh bedroom which is located on the ground floor of the property with access to another huge and luxurious bathroom.
On this elevated ground floor you have the kitchen, dining room and light filled lounge. There is a mandarin themed state of the art kitchen which features top of the range appliances such as rapid induction hob, quantum speed microwave, an American fridge with cooler and freezer and communicates with the dining area which has seating for eight. There is also, leading from the dining area, an additional 'al fresco’ dining table with seating for six. The lounge leads off the dining area and is an open plan expanse with multi language digital channels and a large flat screen TV, leather sofas and french doors that lead onto an extravagant sixty square metres terrace that provides a comfortable nook with patio sofas and coffee table for pre-dinner cocktails and chat. All with views of the sea and the smell of the ocean wafting in the air. And also over looking over the blue water of a very large pool. Perfect.
But that does not quite describe the pool. It is a teddy bear pool, one ear is the jacuzzi with seating for eight and the other ear is the fan of gentle walk-in steps. All surrounded by 200 square meters of pool patio and sun lounges. Then at the far side of 'the teddy bear' is the in-ox water cascade that showers the swimmers with a flow of heated, delicious blue water. This also means the pool is open all year round as long as the sun is shining. A thing that happens a lot in Spain. So swimming is always on the menu as well as what is served in ‘Amics Del Mar’, a wonderful seafood restaurant that is just 30 meters from Villa Bonfill. Yet despite this proximity, the elevated mature gardens and enclosed lawns ensures the utmost privacy and comfort, one that gives you the ultimate choice. You can remain in the luxurious privacy of Villa Bonfill or exit the grounds and find yourself on the seafront and just 500 meters from the beach. If that already does not make for a holiday to remember, you are a stones throw from the seafood shop called Devimar, also a restaurant where everything on the menu is super fresh. Ask for the 'almejas' or cockles in the 'la salsa marinera' and get ready for the gourmet experience of a life time. Also just a stroll away is Restaurant La Barraca with its fabulous sea front terrace and some of the tastiest rice dishes in the whole area. All of which says this is an amazing holiday mansion in a unique location and with a sleeping capacity of 14 people. That is not expensive to rent compared to the unique holiday experience and memories it will leave you with.
But we are not finished yet. There is a summer kitchen with its own fridge freezer, inside barbecue, dining area and lounge for chilling out and playing games. Located beside it is a simple bathroom which also can be used for showering before going for a swim. There is a also a spacious basement garage with automatic gates and with a capacity for three to four vehicles. Other features are the automatic shutters that open and close at the press of a button, fly mesh doors, the wrap around lower terrace and gardens that is liberally dotted with sun lounges and the impressive ‘Olive Press’ installation that reminds you that you are in one of the greatest live oil producing regions in al of Spain.
Then we get onto to L’Ampolla. Well it is famous through-out Spain for its sea-food dishes and is a well known gourmet destination. It hosts a gypsy market every Wednesday morning where you can find anything from a conga drum to an Arabic tapestry, from smoked traditional hams to wonderful country olives. It also has a summer camp for kids every day during the summer from 10 to 1 and 4 to 7. For the adventurous, there is boat hire and fishing, a gym to work out, bicycle hire to cycle into the delta, a municipal swimming pool with the mountains as back-drop, tennis courts, a summer season night-club and lots of sandy beaches where beach volley ball and sun tans are the order of the day.
Tarragona is the capital of the area and has a Roman amphitheater as well as a thriving cultural metropolis.
The Costa Daurada coastline has a wonderful mixture of mountains sweeping down to the coastline, bays and inlets featuring sandy beaches and a climate that does not get oppressively hot in the summer and is temperate and mild during the Winter.
