Description
The Little Castle is a cottage situated on the south of Costa Dorada, in the village of l'Ampolla managed by Catalan Ways.
We have two offices in l’Ampolla to give support and information on all aspects of your holiday on the Costa Dorada; our job is to make sure you have all the knowledge you need to have the wonderful holiday you deserve.
The Little Castle is a not so little cottage perched on a hill with a private pool and overlooking the Catalan coast. There are few other properties that offer such incredible views, that offer such privacy and space and a wonderful sun terrace and Victorian barbecue! It has a large sitting room that leads both onto the pool and terrace and into the kitchen and dining area. It has a big principal bathroom with shower and bath and also a separate WC. There are two bedrooms, one with large double bed while the second has bunk beds, a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath. It is surprisingly spacious but when you step outside you have that the panorama of the blue Mediterranean and Catalan coastline. There is an old cast-iron Victorian barbecue and oven which cooks everything from baked potatoes to sizzling the tuna steaks. This rural cottage of offers beauty and tranquillity but is only 5 km to the nearby fishing village of l'Ampolla. Best of both worlds. Little Castle is an ecological, sustainable and self-sufficient house powered by solar panels and its own well. Therefore, it must be emphasised that consumption habits must be adapted to make them coincide with the hours of sunshine. Little Castle is equipped with appliances suitable for a self-sufficient home. It should be mentioned that no charging electric cars is allowed although there is a high-speed charging point in the village of L’Ampolla just 5km away.
This beautiful part of the Spanish Mediterranean, known as the Gold Coast, is famous for its mountains sweeping down to golden sandy beaches.
Costa Dorada has a unique climate that is warm in summer and mild in winter.
L'Ampolla is a fishing village that has happily avoided being a tourist destination. Famed through-out the Costa Dorada for its cuisine, the oysters, razor clams and fish all come straight from the waters of the bay. While it does have a gentle pace of life with great beaches, there is still jet ski rental and boat hire for fishing, beach volleyball tournaments and a summer season night-club, music concerts and festivals to provide lots of interesting variety.

If you are looking for great views and a lot of privacy, this house is your choice!
It has great views on the Ebro Delta and the Mediteranean Sea.
The interior of the house is good and clean, although kitchen needed to have a spring clean on see more

But that was quickly solved after contacting Catalan Ways (the key keeper). In short a nice, clean house with great views and everything you need for a nice and relaxed holiday. |

On our arrival on Saturday hot water was not working. That was solved on Monday. In the mean time Catalan Ways offered a good solution to shower.

Jolie maison au calme la journée, très belle vue sur la vallée et la mer. La maison est bien équipée (quand ça fonctionne) et très propre. Le jardinier a pris soin de couper les buissons qui dépassaient sur le chemin pour faciliter l'accsee more

Absence de grille pain, de cafetière électrique, d' information sur les horaires de mise en route des lave vaisselle et lave linge, bruyant la nuit (les nombreux chiens des voisins aboient beaucoup).

Manquait le seche cheveux...un plan ou fléchage pour accéder à la maison de l ampolla.
Programmateur sur machine à laver on ne peut pas laver de linge après 19h et nous n'étions pas au courant

Programmateur sur machine à laver on ne peut pas laver de linge après 19h et nous n'étions pas au courant Gros soucis de bruits la nuit à cause des chiens du voisinage qui aboient. Il faudrait peut être installer la clim dans la maison ce qui permettrait de fermer les fenêtres la nuit et de dormir au calm et au frais. La présence de chevaux a proximité explique peut être le nombre important de mouches surtout lorsque nous sommes au bord de la piscine. Hélas ces désagréments nous ont gâché notre séjour. |

Superbe maison au milieu des oliviers avec une vue magnifique sur le delta de l'Ebre. L'Ampolla est une ville très plaisante. La région est très belle, Tortosa, Peniscola, le delta de l'Ebre, les criques ... Le descriptif de la maison est conforme ausee more
